IBDMAR, in cooperation with CEDIN, announced at the XXI International Law Winter Course the creation of the Research Group on the Law of the Sea, the result of the vision and dedication of Professors. Wilson Fernandes Negrão Júnior and Leonardo de Camargo Subtil, and currently coordinated by Prof. Mário Henrique da Rocha, Executive Secretary of IBDMAR.
The initiative reinforces the solid partnership between CEDIN and IBDMAR, consolidating the mutual commitment to promote the dissemination and strengthening of scientific research on the Law of the Sea.
By letter dated August 28, 2025, the IBDMAR Presidency formally invited the Research Group to submit drafts for the IX IBDMAR Congress, which will take place on October 2 and 3, in Fortaleza/CE.
We also reiterate that the deadline for submitting drafts was extended until September 7, 2025, expanding the opportunities for the academic community to actively participate in the Congress.
